• The most important output of any test execution process is the test log. 
• This is also called as Test results log or simply test results.
• The format in which test result is to be recorded is typically pre decided as part of the test planning phase.
• The degree of details with which the test log needs to be agreed and decided in advance as part of the test planning phase.
• Note: The test log in some cases might not mean the test results and would only refer to a log of the sequence in which the test cases were executed.
